That's great a quick question regarding blipping throttle making gear change easier and making neutral easier to find, seems to be fine at start of run gets worse later on have seen video of a fix for neutral involving removing and soaking clutch p!ages in oil,is this a common issue or any particular reason I've already adjusted and lubed clutch cable which helped a bit. Good call about the water wetter seen it before as well as engine ice so will flush and choose one of them,is it normal for 5/6 bars on temp gauge ?.
Chuk I can't say if it's normal on the triples as I have only owned mine for a shortwhile now but I would think not, mine certainly doesn't do that. You say it gets worse as you go along which leads me to believe that it could have something to do with the oil that you are running, as it gets hotter and thus thinner. I would get the right oil for the bike, change the filter too and see what it does before you start taking clutch plates out. Check your chain adjustment too. The 5 or 6 bars on temp sounds normal, see image of mine below of when I had literally just parked on a cold morning after a 30km run.
Bikes just had full service at raceways before I bought it,nothing to say what oil they used its not an issue as such just tad irritating it does always go into gear its just easier when blipping throttle, saying that if you are gunning it (private roads officer) its easy to get into year especially on downshifts, I did see a video regarding coolant flush n refill and temp was 5/6 bars also so I've already got 3ltr oat coolant so get round to that when I've got time, need to get adapters for my abbastand for chain as stands I've seen start around £60 odds.
Perhaps just check with them which oil they used for peace of mind. I know the manual specs certain viscosity oils "15W/50 semi or fully synthetic and 10W-40 fully synthetic (sold as castrol Power RS racing 4T 10W40 but countries could vary because of temperatures.
Hi ive just bought water wetter via fleabay did you put full bottle in ?,i will be doing a flush in next week work permitting and already have ready to use OAT coolant in garage.
Beemer did the lot chuk, but it was boring me,it just screeched everywhere Think the triple sounds awesome (arrow full system)and has more character
. That was partly why I sold the r1 as a machine it was great but all the fun was at license losing speeds,I couldn't justify running 2 bikes with the work commitments I've got so the triple is the one i will keep zrx1100 up for sale in June, the 1 bike will be enough for foreseeable future the triple sounds awesome on new cans to boot.
Jez, to be honest: It still sits at my dealer and waits for new owner. Whenever I see it, I think of buying it back... Then I must be VERY disciplined and remind myself, why I sold it in the first place... It's soooo beautiful.
There is a little thread about this: http://thetriumphforum.co.uk/threads/riding-position-and-how-we-cope.8194/ I did not really regret the decision, it is just the beauty of the Thrux that gets to me each and every time...
