I don't have any form of key for it. I have Datatool stickers (and an led that doesn't appear to work) so wondered if it was an Alarm. Seller said there was no security on it so maybe just dummy stickers etc.
Suppose it could be an alarm but maybe he didn't know about it?

It's a security lock key so would suggest an alarm, if it's not connected the chances are it kept going off so they disarmed it.

Gave the bike (another) clean tonight and that box is a Datatool.
It may defeat the purpose of being a security device but do you think I can get a replacement key? Or would any other similar style of key work?

put it this way it should help with the insurance as I think they only ask if one is fitted and not necessarily working

^^The conditions will specify working though, and it'd soon be used as an excuse not to pay out

I'm sure it'll be possible to get another key from Datatool, or perhaps elsewhere.......whether it's worth it or not I guess depends on cost and hassle!

I'll see what I can find out, thanks.
Whilst on my tour of the bikes innards I noticed next to the expansion tank, tucked under the frame, a fluid container. Is that the rear brake reservoir?
I take it you need to take the side panel off to access it fully?
