New Rocket Iii?

Sorry! Should have insert "will be" a retirement present to myself

 

My thoughts are assuming the bike is £20k

£6000 deposit on my 58th birthday in March
3 years pcp (at 7% guesstimate interest) payments on trioptions of around £170 for three years
Retire at 61 and pay off whats left (approx £10k?) from my pension tax free lump sum.
Or trade it in on a Speed twin and start again!

The above figures are from Diavel quote on a £20k bike so only guessing at this time

I could just be blinding myself on a reason to purchase one though

I really like the red one, I bet they do a black version at some point too.

Got to say I like the red too but have just sold my red Diavel and it looks too similar so need to go with the grey

 

Definitely decided on the GT for March 1st delivery. Just to add to the expense have also found the perfect helmet to match the colour scheme

I saw these bikes on Main Street at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally a week or two ago. There were three guys together--just got pics of two. I'm pretty sure they were the new Rocket III's?! The one I didn't get a pic of was red.

 

it does look like the new Rocket,maybe they guys were from some bike mag?

 

That could well be, Dougie. They were all three riding together. While I didn't see a Triumph vendor area or display, that doesn't mean there wasn't one either. The rally encompasses a wide area. I was wishing I'd seen the bikes while they were still parked before the guys were riding off. I have a friend who has a 2008 Rocket III. These new ones seem to be a whole different beast!

I was lucky and happy to snap them just in the nick of time. Had I turned around 5 second later they would have been down the street!

 

The guy is riding the GT model. Wonder if it was for promotional shots or perhaps scouting out roads for the journalist launch in October/ November
