Well I got out for what may have been my last ride of the season, it was in the mid to upper 40s today. I only did 31 miles but boy did it feel good. Everytime I get on this bike I just love it, I have no regrets with my purchase. It's just a great fit for me.
A couple of selfies before I headed out.

    I stopped by the lake.

The sun is really low on the horizon now, winter is coming.

I got the bike home and filled the fuel tank, lubed the chain and parked it in the garage. Popped it up on the centerstand and plugged in the battery tender. I'm reluctant to cover it for its long winter slumber. Fingers crossed I get a warm day on a weekend for 1 more ride, but it may not happen.
Excuse the double pics, I can't seem to delete them.

Yep, quite cold here in Northern Indiana; I just take short rides to local towns and stop at local Ma and Pa beaneries to get a coffee or breakfast to warm up. As long as there is no salt or snow or ice, I plan on venturing out for short jaunts.

One short question to Greg; at what mileage did you apply your first chain lube??

I do it every few hundred miles. I use maxima chain wax. I apply it after a ride and then park it so it gets a chance to work into the chain and not just fling off all over the place.

i have just fitted this rack to my 2022 and there is threaded holes on the inside of the shock top mounts you have to remove the rear mudguard / fender to access them the legs on the rack initially look like they need spreading about half an inch but the bolts pull them uptight nicely

Yes I am aware of that, but for some reason this rack was inches off on both sides. Nbd, I made it work and I love it.
