Forgiveness is usually the stage requested, when you've got what you wanted.

Nice bike that. I can see why you went down the route you did, the modern Tigers are pretty crap and 2 a penny, sorry guys, and the 955 is a great bike, I love em, but they are heavy and can be hard work. I love the yams but as an oldie and still having to work to survive i cant afford em, and even if i could i would buy a 955 Speedie, lol.
    Seriously, nice buy. Nice one.

I know this is going to sound a bit crap, but today for the first in many years, I used a paddock stand (bike has side stand only). Was a bit nervous but I wanted to lubricate the chain so had to do it - actually it was a piece of weewee !!!!

So, gear lever adjusted, chain lube'd - whatever next ??? Weather is looking better so should get some kms in this week.

In all fairness Dave, it really didn't surprise me when you bought that bike. Coming from the bikes you've had since I've known you which seems the right one now (hope I've spoke on time). There is still a flutter in you for bonnevilles I just know, but this is the sensible option.
As roads have got shitter over here and possibly at yours too, long suspension is now becoming the norm. I've thought about similar options and at the moment I'll abuse that Chinese thing I own for touring till it dies (and the fokka just won't!!) then it'll either be a r1200r or possibly a yam triple like you.
I'm not hooked on the tigers like others who have commented too and was suprised by your purchase of that top heavy tiger when I first saw it. I hope it stays with you and for fox sake leave the foxing grinder alone this time!!

Thanks for that Eric, but if I could just say one thing : the Tracer 700 is a parallel twin with a 270° crank - just like the new water-cooled Bonnys. That's part of it's appeal. It feels like a Bonny engine when you ride it - the difference is it's SOOOO much lighter and that changes everything.

Re the R1200r that is a bit funny looks, but it is an excellent machine.

PS Grinder ? What grinder ? Heh heh heh heh :heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:
