My New Therapy Animal Is A Black Mustang

I suspect you are quite right about any test drivers not honoring "break-in", @Old phart phred. The car had 85 miles on it when we (well, when Mr. Sandi) drove it off the dealership lot. I know that at least 30-ish of those miles were related to one of the Ford dealership employees bringing it to and bringing it back from the detailer. The one thing that would rein test drivers in is that the dealership is smack dab in the middle of the city and there aren't a lot of places to really let 'er rip. Fortunately for the purchaser! I'd like to be the first one to have that honor.

Nice suggestion on the name, thanks! I'm still not sure what or even if I'll name my car. At this point I sort of naturally refer to it as "The Bullitt". We'll see if a name finds me and my car.

Check out this Mustang "pony puddle side light" on my Bullitt! This lighting shows up just outside both the driver and passenger side doors. We took the car out last night and saw this for the first time. Kinda silly, yeah, but I really love it.

You know, I had horses when I was younger and now I have a Mustang. Coincidence? I think not!

My friend, Dena, who has a 2016 Mustang GT, told me she was glad to see that white cue ball gear shift knob in my car. She said her gear shift knob is metal which is not that big a deal until you think about being in the desert in the summer. She said the knob in her car gets so hot she can barely put her hand on it! Small but important details, right?!

 

Hi @Danimal. Somehow I just saw your post. Thanks for the comment on my "impeccable taste". I'll have to remember that and use it to my advantage.

The one that "someone just paid 3 million dollars for...and it was like 50 years old" was one of the two Mustangs actually used in the filming of the 1968 movie "Bullitt" starring Steve McQueen. Here's some info about the sale.
