Crutchlow is a piss poor rider in my view.
Three wins and commentators say he’s a real champion.
FFS surprised he can find the bike without being led to it !
As to why you get so many Spaniards and Italian riders, they actually run bike racing series to encourage and train their potential riders.
We don’t so when some one with a bit of talent comes along unless they have a sponsor they don’t progress on.

 

What a lot of crap,,,,,,how can anyone who races in MotoGP be a piss poor rider, let alone win a world championship event in any discipline.
I suppose John McPhee is an even piss poor x2 rider then in your eyes.

 

Crutchlow doesn’t have the talent that some ascribe to him.
Ok my comments are very harsh.
If he ever gets in the situation where he could win a championship,I would expect to see pigs flying to me he doesn’t have the level of talent that’s needed.
Zarco is to my view the most promising rider at present, along with Rins ( think that’s the guy on the Suzuki) and far more likely than Crutchlow to ever win a championship.

 

I think quite a lot of the needle we are seeing goes back to traditional Spanish/Italian emnity that started with Spain being part of the Roman Empire for 200 years longer than we were! Throw in some rogue Spaniards who became Popes (the Borgias) and the Spanish whip hand over Europe while Italy was squabbling city states and you have a brew exacerbated by recent national fitba’ results.......and look who runs our sport!

Considering this is the first season in MotoGP on the latest works machinery he is not doing too badly.
Don’t get me wrong, he would not be my first choice to prop up a bar but until you walked a mile in his bootees.......he led and chased Dovi pretty well on Tech 3s. If you are looking for a charisma bypass Jorge is your man.

 

Let's cut out all the crap about this rider that rider etc, Bin the electronic aids that make it so much easier to nail the throttle, scrap the 1000 cc four strokes, ignore Euro 4,5,6 and whatever the next one is, bring back the 500 two strokes then we will all see who is the best rider!
Being a classified old fart I remember the 500 class racing and how hard the bikes were to ride unfortunately beaurocracy took over and that was it for the two strokes but my were they good to hear and watch!

 

Yep remember them well, the speed,sound and smell superb.

Also for me some of the hardest gp bikes to ride were from the golden age of race bike technology, the mid to late 60’s. Singles, twins, three,four, five and six cylinder machines, two and four stroke.

Ok they didn’t have the vicious power delivery of the 500,700 or 750 two strokes but still hard to ride at race winning pace.

 

So, follow MotoGP a lot then.....

 

More than enough to see how poor Crutchlow is.
I prefer BSB much more exciting and closer racing.
Should be an entertaining season as well this year as there a fair few promising riders that look as though they may knock Shakey off his perch.

Well, 12 months apparently were not enough to fix the surface condition at the COTA. With so many awesome circuits around the world (including Laguna Seca) one begs the question as to why are organizers insisting on taking the MotoGP circus to such an unprepared venue?

 

Laguna Seca was part of the calendar until 2013. I don't know exactly why it was dropped but I don't think it was due to safety. And considering the surface issues at COTA, it doesn't look like safety ranks too high with Dorna.
