He's certainly earned his place in GP motorcycle racing several times over IMO. The term "GOAT" has been mentioned many times and he's the man, not only on the MotoGP bikes but on the 500 2 strokes, completely different beasts. Can't see the point in him stepping down to WSB TBH, he has nothing to prove there. He may not be in the saddle next year but he'll undoubtedly be in the paddock for years to come. Top man. :grinning:

Il be catching up with that (hopefully)
Vinales did himself no favours behaving like he did trying to break the engine and looking like he was out for a Sunday afternoon ride.

I doubt he'll be taking any more Sunday afternoon rides for a little while.

I think yamaha should get shot of him. Silly behaviour on wrecking the yamaha's team scooter on Saturday night too (but it can't be proven to be his side of the garage tbf) and quite how they can trust him for the rest of the season? No idea.

Just been officially announced that Aprilia have signed MV for 2022. If Yamaha are savvy they will bench him on mental health grounds but hold him on contract till the end of year.
A talented rider but sadly has a fragile head.
Good luck at Aprilia (from both's perspective)

I wonder why Aleix is so enthusiastic to get Maverick as a team mate?
First rule of racing....beat your team mate. ;)

The parallels between Maverick and John Kocinski are numerous
    • Knows how to ride a bike - on their day unbeatable
    • Knows how to rev an engine to destruction (John was more successful)
    • Weird personality (again may be John has the edge)
The question is does Maverick know much about property developing (you guessed it - John does :)) because he might need a new career in 2023.

Went Saturday and Sunday with the brother in law in his car was bloody frozen both days. Enjoyed the racing although was disappointed with the exhaust sound of the moto 2 and moto gp thought it would be a big deep throated roar but instead it was a high pitched scream. The moto 3 and british talent Cup bikes were OK though. It was a shame that rossi's tyres went of after starting well, was looking forward to a top ten finish but sadly was not to be. Still was great being in one of the rossi stands and I can say I was there.

We was there too. I saw Valentino’s first UK race and his last… what a star. He will be missed but it is the right time for him to retire. I wish him well in his new ventures… I had a fabulous ride in and a quick ride home, way too fast following a mate on his Tuono. Fun but wow…..
