Get the train over here and you can share the JD as a hair of the dog!

Well, first impressions are good - only did 30 odd miles but the way it tips in is really different to the old K3's, It does feel nice to have more grip coming out of bends/junctions when getting the power on. Mark Brunt (Mobile Bike Tyres) did advise to take it easy for the first 60 ish miles for them to bed in. Also they seem to warm up pretty quickly - considering the temperature here today ( toady! )

Seems to still be quite a big shiny bit on the sides of your tyres?

Ahhh.... Bum skids! My dog does that on the rug when he has an itchy arse. Perhaps you need worming too?

Not really wanting to appear as an expert on dog's bums (although let me tell you, I so am) but dogs tend to drag their arses on the floor to relive pressure on their anal sacs - usually nothing to do with worms. Just thought I'd throw in a random veterinary answer because I don't think we've had one until now? (Well apart from sheep 'n' stuff). Hope this clarifies...

I opted for a rear PR4 in the end. Not sure what I can really say about it to be honest. Seems to offer just as much as the PR3 and hopefully last a bit longer to.

Going from a worn out PR3 to a new PR4 it's hard for me to compare. No issues with grip so far, seems solid, potentially more 'feel', but thats probably all psychosomatic?

I'm more interested in the how the front PR4 will be to be honest, but that's a few thousand miles away yet!

PR4's went on this afternoon, only managed 40 odd miles on the run home in Friday afternoon traffic so not much to report on. Never noticed any difference in the steering which is good as I had expected them to be a little slower turning but all seemed okay.

Out in the morning so should get a good 100 miles or more into them which should give me a better idea.

Had a front Pilot Road 3 fitted on Saturday to match the rear fitted a few weeks ago.

This as expected has transformed handling of my ST3, turns in much quicker feels much less heavy at front-end and of course as a result your confidence and enjoyment increase.

Try them you will not be disappointed:upyeah:

Just noticed this thread (yes I'm a bit slow:rolleyes:) and realised that we reviewed this tyre a while back. Its now on my ZZR 1400 and is a fantastic bit of rubber.

Probably the best tyre we ever tested. If Carlsberg made bike tyres....

they do ... if you go to 150/70R17 on the rear, standard front size OK. That's what I want to do, welcome any feedback if anyone else has done it.
