^Short answer is YES, it arrived at dusk on Friday. The packaging job done by Maxton is an engineering work of art. I took pictures of it all and they must have used 12 linear feet of bubble wrap, serious good job and all tied in with Maxton's tape so you know it has not been messed with. All is good, came with reams of documentation and a serious owners manual and a specialty spanner for spinning the preload spring. Just getting light here. My neighbor has a jack and is bringing it over this morning and we shall do install with gobs more pictures. I will note bolt head sizes and torque specs when I post it all up with pictures. Road report will follow on after that. Front sag is already set but I'll need to have rear redone to get it spot on.

    CHEERS,

    Chris

Required tools are 14 mm spanner, 14 mm sockets (deep and regular), T55 Torque bit socket, 8 mm Allen socket, 3/8 drive ratchet spanner, 3/8 drive Torque wrench, and a punch and hammer to drift out shock bolts. I learned there is no level area to use a jack so needed a helper to steady the bike as it was raised and shock changed out. Used a 2 X 4 piece and a strip of 3/8 plywood to shim the jack to get bike decently level. Top shock bolt was an Allen head and bottom bolt was a Torque head....must be Triumph helping deter Maxton Shock thefts, lol. Why use two different designs?? Torque on nuts is 48 NM.

The quality of the machine work is fantastic. Truly a functional piece of art! Waiting for it to warm up and road report to follow.

For those with an anal attention to detail - you shall notice a red cable with a red box on it in pictures 2 and 3 above. This is a pistol lock (all new pistols are sold with these generally useless items. I use it to secure my helmet to the bike. That is all :).

Got in a swift ride on one of my local "testing roads" this AM. The bike is literally transformed with this new shock unit. Tracks like on rails at speed and though firm is very comfortable. Never got chucked from the saddle once. I really like how it hooks up under full power at corner exit. Low speed compression is spot on and a slide exit seems doable now. Did notice that the front end felt a tad squirrely / headshake, almost light under full acceleration. We will set sag asap and run it again in a few days (rain on horizon here). May need to invest in a steering dampener as I now have new boundaries of velocity in reach.

I absolutely love the Maxton, just got it professionally dialed in today. It was spot on as it came from Maxton at 33mm of sag. Maxton is brilliant. Post #19 in my steering damper thread gives a tad more detail. I highly recommend this shock to anyone considering upgrading. It is worth it no matter the cost or wait time. You deserve it :).

^ I honestly think that is a great value. I realize it is easy for me to spend your hard earned money :). I paid L810 including L60 for the shipping. My KTech front end all done was another $800USD installed.
