I bought a 2012 Bonneville with 1800 miles on it and have had no problems (apart from the rear brake nonsense before someone says!)

My Tiger 800 was just over 2 years old when I bought it, and had 320 miles on the clock. It had a slight oil weep (first British bike since returning to bikes and it leaked oil, just like my BSA C15 did in 1967). That was just a couple of engine case bolts that needed tightening (unlike the C15).

The tyres had perished too and started cracking badly along the tread lines, so needed replacing.

Apart from that, it has been brilliant.
