Ah right, I literally just took a dodgy pick showing that there doesn't seem to be anything on that side to clip it in, which is what I'd said before ... so now I'm curious as to what could make it sag like it is.

Do you think the frame at the bottom (with the 2 allen bolts) on my bike has become bent? that's what I suspect ...

Possibly mate like I said I think it’s been snagged when being removed from the workshop bench :(
I had a hydraulic workshop bench and putting my 2018 Speedmaster on and off it it would catch going on and coming off
I put a bit of carpet on the bench so it wouldn’t damage the frame rails :)

I have just put it back on my Rocket and it’s a bit of a faff
The cover has to be angled out at the bottom to feed it in before popping it into place with the two lugs
It took me two attempts as one of the rubber lug holes popped out :poop:
I found it and then put some grease in the holes and on the locating lugs :)
Went straight in second time :grinning:
Put some copper grease on the two bolts underneath as they’re right in the firing line for all the shit thrown up by the front wheel :poop:

Unfortunately not mate. I've been too busy with kids to worry about it, and based on your experience, I don't think I'll try and take it off myself.

Frankly, even if I did, I suspect I wouldn't find anything, it feels (by manipulating it) that nothing is loose, it's quite stiff, but just ... wrong.

So I reckon somehow the frame that holds is has become bent. And I have found a kink/bend in the frame underneath, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be there or not. If it is bent, I can only suspect that it's happened during its initial 600 mile service, perhaps with someone placing the jack in the wrong place or something when hoisting the bike up.

From your info I can see there's no clip on that side that's missing that means it's hanging down, everything is present, which is ... well, kinda good (I'm not missing anything), but kinda bad (it must be some form of 'damage').

I figure it's probably something the dealer should fix either way :-/
