    The teardrop primary chaincase looks like a 1930’s Ariel.

    Thanks Trickey, think you're on the money with the 500 Triumph, that primary chain case looks the same. Amazing how 90% of photos on the net are of the other side.

    I think they would have worked ok in those day as the roads were possibly in a better condition than they are now.
    In other words we need USD forks and trick rear shocks to help combat the roads of today :eek:

    Slightly better than the rear suspension?

    But does look a bit like my old bike from about 45yrs ago, it was old then!
