I’m sorry to hear that @Sandi T. and all the others... it’s brought about such a wide ranging set of issues that will take time to heal... but that’s the good thing about us humans. We have the ability to pick ourselves up, dust off and start again. Hang in there guys...

Sorry to read some people losing their job because of Covid. This pandemy is really hard hitting in all ways. There in France we have the chance to have a good social covering, so most of the people are partially paid by the state for 84% of the salary amount, I think UK gor something similar. But the job lose will be only postponed for later, with a lot of restaurants, small companies, etc, that will not survive Covid. All cultural jobs (musicians, roadies, technicians) are, and will be severely impacted. for them the social covering is not really the same.

He was a bit owder than me, about 72, but no underlying issues. He was in hospital with it, and they let him home early last week, on palliative care. His lungs had bin damaged too much. At least he got home, and died with his family around him.

I'm sincerely sorry to hear the bad news Sandi and all others who have lost their jobs and praying for peace and understanding for you, Foxy1 as well as your mates loved ones.

It's really sad the government officials making the decisions don't feel the same bite we do. I think the "lockdown" would have been over already if they did.

Thanks, Nikki. I'm actually happy to share that I have a fairly solid lead for a job already. I'm meeting with someone from a local school district (appropriately socially distanced of course) on Thursday so we shall see. For now I shall enjoy spending time at home. :):mask:

Ha! Nice try on the Mustang, DD. At this point I'd be more likely to sell my motorcycles (egads!) than the car but only because I still can't ride them but I can drive the Bullit. Besides, what would you do with a steering wheel on the wrong side on your side of the pond? :joy:

Hi, @freck. Thanks. I appreciate the well wishes on finding something else--I'm lucky in that there is nearly always a shortage of school psychologists in the U.S. Yes, I'm still getting paid through mid-August which is a huge relief. And yes, I'm more mobile than I have been--especially the pelvis. Elbow is still plodding, slow progress, though. But it is forward progress! :)

Thanks, @Bikerman. I appreciate your kind words. And I'm trying to frame this by thinking just what you said--maybe I'll find an even better job! Hopefully that's the case for any and all forum members who lose their jobs due to this blasted pandemic.
