    Yeah, I watched the TEC vid showing George Milburn doing exactly that. But he's certainly taller than me (I've met him) and probably stronger, and I get the impression he's not quite so fussy about knocks and scrapes to his bike(s) as I am. I also watched another vid where the chap talks about his bike falling over, while attempting to change shocks on the side stand. So being more inclined towards the 'rather safe than sorry' school of thought I decided to go with the Abba stand, especially as it was sitting on the shelf right in front of me.

    You should always do what you feel confident with, otherwise disaster usually happens, if only from already putting yourself off ;)

    Nice, but why didn’t you just stick the bike on the side stand?

    Changed to YSS shocks on Thruxton 900 . On sidestand 1 at a time took 15 minutes in carpark at work during lunch break . It really is dead easy .
