Hi Dave, that looks really good. Just a stupid question - is it something you use on a mobile phone, or what. Sorry if it sounds too old git-ish but it looks so good I could imagine it being really useful especially if it does 'live tracking' - showing you on your phone where you are at any given moment just like a Tomtom can.

Don't know mate, I'm a total ludite when it comes to new technology and to old to learn:rolleyes: and not really interested in this new techno stuff. Think my 4 year old grandson has more idea than me, if fact I know he has:(

All I did was search for a website to plot a route on my laptop and this one came up and I tried it and it works except when I plotted the route it was private, for my eyes only and I can't change it to public  for all to view. When I log out of plotaroute website no one can view the route :mad:

    I'll keep trying to resolve.

    Dave.

Thanks Crispey your most probably right.

I've tried to download the map to my Docs, Pictures etc but having no success.

Bloody technology, what's wrong with a bit of chalk and a piece of slate:)

I'll stay logged onto plotaroute for a while so anyone to view the route map and they may be able to screen dump or print off the route map

i managed to save the route to my zumo! not sure how i managed it though as it said my browser doesn't recognize the format? so it told me to download something o_O but it still didn't work,i was trying the option of transferring straight to my zumo..so in the end i decided to save the gpx file to my computer then copy and paste into my zumo..result! :)..only problem i seem to have with the zumo is that when i save it into the memory card it goes in the sat nav but when i look for it on the sat nav it's not there! so i have to put it in the normal memory..it's a bit annoying as this is the 2nd memory card ive tried to save routes to without any luck..anyone else having this problem with their zumo?

If your struggling with sat nav routes you could try TYRE or MyRouteApp. They're both the same, one's an upgrade.
I've only used it on the lap top but you can link it to your phone, and it can be used to track routes and share with friends or public.
It use's Google maps and I've found it very easy to use.
You can get a free version or pay for upgrades.
