Ade, as you look at the Royal Oak with your back to the road there's a lane that goes down the left side of the pub and a building which looks like your bunk house and yes there is a small gravel area between the bunk house and the lane.
A few yards further on than this building/bunk house is a gate that looks like it leads to the pubs camping field.
Turn right through this gate and right again through another gate, this looks like it leads you into a court yard type area behind the pub and the bunk house is immediately on your right. I would imagine that this is where the entrance to the bunk house is, don't think it's from the lane.
So your bikes should be parked by the bunk house entrance if that makes sense and not on the lane.

Possibly give the RO a phone call to confirm.

    Dave.

Right guys after riding the route and after much consideration I've decide to slightly amend the original Wednesday ride out route that I posted.
The route I'm about to post is comprehensive and hopefully everyone can follow it.
I will also click and paste this post into the ride out section of this forum.

I don't know what else is happening on the Wednesday, if there's another ride out or if people are doing their own thing. anyone wishing to join me is welcome. We will be using the drop off system so hopefully no one will get lost:eek:
    It's up to the individual.

I must say that anyone joining me will be responsible for their own riding/actions. Sorry it has to be said.

The ride will be a bimble on a few A roads, quite a few B and minor roads. Don't forget we will be riding in the countryside.
If this doesn't suit you please feel free to do your own thing.

I will most probably have breakfast at the Flash Bar Stores prior to the ride.

The ride will start from the Royal Oak car park leaving at 10.00 prompt. Please fuel tanks full and bladders empty.

    The Route: R=Right L=Left

R out of Royal Oak car park to Longnor.
At Longnor L onto B5053 to Warslow.
At Warslow R onto Leek Rd signed Leek and Newtown.
Follow the road all the way to the end at the T junction (The Mermaid Inn opposite) and turn L signed Leek and Onecote.

At Whalley Bridge we will encounter roadworks, continue on the B5470 to Chapel-en-le-Frith (C-e-l-F).
Into C-e-l-F passing Morrisons petrol station, just after the Old Pack Horse pub turn L and go under the A6 flyover.
Continue on and turn L at brown sign for Castleton Caves and Pervil Castle.

Continue to cross roads with traffic lights and turn R onto A623 signed Manchester and Stockport.
Continue along the A623 passing Yondermans cafe on your L and turn L onto B6049 through Tideswell and Millers Dale.
At T junction turn R onto the A6 signed Buxton and Manchester, turn L onto the A5270 signed Brierlow Bar.

For those wanting a pre ride out breakfast, I will be leaving the Royal Oak at about 8:00am on the Wednesday to go to the Flash Bar Store Cafe for breakfast and returning to the R.O. for the 10:00am ride out. You can also buy newspapers and pasties and "things" at the cafe to help you through to dinner time.
It'll be a nice 7.2 mile B road route. Maybe through a bit of pig/cow muck to clear your nozzles.

:DSpent the afternoon fixing a bloody indicator that decided to come loose , so i changed them both at the back. All i have to do now is pack, thats tommorrow sorted.

Oh i have my pen back thanks to GB Motorcycles. Found out off him that she was the first Thunberbird in Ireland. A Demo bike,
Dozers Dad told me thats why shes loose, :D

She my have had a few leg overs, but shes come up in the world since them shameful days of abuse,

Im soooooo glad to have her back, shes not the finished article but i love her.
Even though she can be a cow somtimes. She seems happy at the moment after her fondling and new shaft put in . so this trip will be a tester. I havnt had a chance to test her properly but i have faith .:D

So, my fellow Triumph Riders and of course our security bloke on a BMW.
I look forward to meeting you for a peak in the peak so to speak. ;):D

    Crispey, It's not a problem.

According to plot a route the mileage is 92 miles.

I would expect the duration of the ride to be 4-5 hours with stops.

    Dave.

Hi Dave thanks for that. I might have to look for a place to bale out en route as doing another 3 hrs on top of that will be a bit daunting.
Do you have a link to the route on a map?
