The Wall I saw was in 78/79 (would have to check the ticket stub). My first concert. I was blown away...
Hubert is actually from Austria. They do 'Alpine Rock' (that's how I call it); so it has their traditional dialect and instruments but loaded with blues and rock elements. Don't know, if it is to your liking...

When Jez asked me about my 5 favorite artists, I realized how many musicians and styles I really like; one of the best songs ever written IMHO is 'The river runs red' by Midnight Oil... but I did not list them...
Or 'Feeling Good' as covered by Muse: f8ckin hair rising... :)

Sum up: I guess music is one of the few things I really feel attached to.
    OK enough now :D

There's a genre here in Germany called 'Schlager Musik'.
The CIA agreed not to use it as a measure of torture in Guantánamo. (I think they use 'Modern Talking' now).

But my best mate's wife thinks Bonamassa's guitar soli are torture as well; so I guess this is all coming down to 'point of perspective'...!?
    :)

Will be moving this piffle to soundtrack thread soon !!!!!

It's no real 'need to know' your taste in hideous 70's prog rock or crappy blues (had to google, then youtube & had a listen to 5 seconds of joey bananas, your mate's wife is correct IMHO) !!!!:D:D:D:D

Now, can we get back on topic, more shite facts, humour and made up bollox !!!;)

Lawrence of Arabia owned eight Brough Superiors SS100's in all from 1922 until his death (whilst riding one) in 1935.

He completed over 100,000 miles on five of them, often covering 500 to 700 miles per day with no helmet or goggles whilst regularly running them up to 100 mph. He famously raced a Sopwith Camel bi-plane.

Very much into engines and speed was T.E. Lawrence, he was stationed at Bridlington for a spell helping to develop speed rescue boats.
If you are down Dorset way there are some great places to visit relating to T.E.L.
A great read is his book The Seven Pillars of Wisdom' which is his account of the Arab campaign in the First World War in which he played a major role and was used to make the film 'Lawrence of Arabia'
