My 93 Trophy 1200 is like this, black frame and grey engine. IIRC I’ve also read that the early grey engines are higher powered and the later black engines were detuned to 125hp. 1200s that is, not sure about the 900s.

Still pretty sure that isn't a standard Triumph paint job on the frame, Steve. But as I said before, I'll happily stand correction. The engine in a similar colour seems familiar though but unsure about metallic finish.
    Looks bloody nice though!
Have you got a paint supplier nearby who can do/mix a colour match for you? Might be the easiest way to go. I had a rattle can of red paint mixed for me to do some work on my Benelli 900 many moons ago. Perfect match as well!!:)

Hi, How do these paint codes relate to the paint codes that Halfords understand?.

    Hi,

Anyone know the Brooklands Green code? Googled it, but with no luck. Also found here another topic, Triumph have stated that color by BASF, but does not have a color code? Sound weird...

I don't know the paint code, but if you want some, this firm is good and they can supply spray cans as well as touch up:

Hi All, I didn't see the answers for where/how do you find out what the paint code is for your bike ? I think my Tiger is Pimento Red but would be good to know for sure.

I now have the Triumph "paint code", which is NI but it doesn't help me get a specialist to mix me a pot.

I've got a 2003 T100 in Sapphire blue with opal white panels(got the codes), apparently none of the touch-up paint sites offer paints older than 2005.

Any suggestions who might sell a spray can of each? If I go to a body shop they will charge a fortune.

I have a Tornado red query if someone can help.
The list shows 2 different brands but same part number, are they the same or slightly different?
I need to paint some panels on my 2010 speed triple SE.
Any help appreciated, I have contacted Triumph but no joy.

I have 2021 Red 900 GT Pro, trying to figure out the paint code as well. I called triumph customer service and was told it's DG (reconfirmed it's just 2 letters). Did you figure it out or got any further?

The original “where technology meets character....”brochure talks about gunmetal grey and BRG as the Trident 750/900 colour options. Were any made in Gunmetal Grey,...is there a colour code available??

From what I can gather it's jet black base coat with the matt finish being provided by a matt lacquer top coat.

Hi David, I remember them doing a grey on the 1200 Trophy around that time, see below.
In the early days they were using cellulose paint up to about 2001 when they went water based.
I think from memory they used a company called Standox paint, and the code maybe somewhere on the bike, but I guess from your question yours is another colour :).
I was able to get Strontium from a car paint shop for my T595 back in the day.

Thanks for posting the paint codes. I dropped the corner of a plank on my tank and need to make the dent go away.
    The codes are a Godsend!

    Gun metal grey wasn't popular.
Only seen two or three early 1990's T 300's in the grey , was many moons ago and in the East !
