    I would not say a preferred brand as what suits one does not always suit another.
    I would just use a well known brand motul putolene silkolene rock. There are many. You may get it in halfords too but haven't looked for ages.

    Progressive springs = softer at the start of the compression and get stiffer

    Linear springs = same stiffness from start to bottom of travel

    I have put stiffer linear springs with medium weight oil in my Speed Triple due to my 16 stone weight
    No diving at the front and much better control

    This is perfect thank you, after all the advice this is what I have decided to go for, I can't wait for the stiffer front end which will hopefully give me more confidence and improve my riding.
