The ABBA stand is actually supplied with a small piece of bent metal plate that they say you'll need to prise off those caps - once I realised the caps were only plastic I managed to get them off with my finger nails - ABBA's metal plate comes with a warning that the edges are sharp but they were still too thick to get under the edges of the plastic without risking chewing it up a bit.

Oh it is.... Def hot to be a record... 5 pages of old flannel. To find out how to remove a bit of plastic..... R&G do a replacement part.. CC has them on his website. I think....
