I think things are looking up, a friend of mine in the south of France said he's recently seen cars from all over Europe in his area and that the virus seems to be dying out over there. Still no travel into France from UK or Spain without a quarantine but I'd expect that to change over the next few weeks. I think my tour in August is becoming a reality and the forum trip to Spain should be ok as despite releasing lockdown in these countries the figures continue to fall.

My eldest daughter lives an hours drive east of Malaga.
Last week she had to fly on business from Malaga to Stuttgart via Frankfurt and return to Malaga via Amsterdam. There were no return flights via Frankfurt.
A each airport she was asked why was she traveling and had to have a letter confirming her reason for traveling and her temperature was taken at each airport.
After 3 days away she now at home in Spain quarantining for 14 days.

I reckon our quarantine will be lifted in a few weeks, the French seem to be doing tit for tat with us but I can't blame them being cautious as our infection rate is still quite high, it is falling though. As for the FCO advice, hopefully that will change as countries gradually open up.

I think if you have a cabin you'll be ok, but they're making cabins a compulsory requirement so you can't take the cheaper option of the comfy chair instead....

I’ve been hearing that there have been fresh, new breakouts of the virus in Spain causing the authorities to revert back to level 2 again. I believe in the areas we will be in.
    Anyone have any more info.

Absolute tossers the lot of them. M3 and M27 were gridlocked yesterday as well. Won't send their bloody kids to school cos it's not safe but will take them to a crowded beach. Morons!

In the last few days Nikki (@BonnieCat) has advised that she is taking a break from the forum and will not be coming to Spain in September . This very sad news for all that know Nikki and also for the forum as her contribution is always well received and welcomed. I don't have any details regarding her decision but I'm hopeful that she will reflect and join us again in the future
