Obviously any one person has their own views. Which is the main reason for an odd number of mods/admins, if there's three, then there's a casting vote on things that are serious enough to warrant it (rare in my experience) a broad spectrum of experience is required.

This forum strikes the right balance, even without moderation. Folk should just rub along and self moderate, and by and large they do. Obviously if you know a thread is going to be 'lively' and you'll be offended, don't go look at it... Or look, shake your head and move on. That's what I do. (rare here, tbh)

As regards Rob not knowing who is who... Hence my comment above about post count. You want somebody who will stick around. Check their posts, see how helpful they are...

I agree with the bulk of this post of yours, @MartyWilson. But I do have to disagree with one thing. I am not a big, hairy, balding biker. I can be rather tough, though. But, hey, I take no offense.
