What are the codes for each of the places? Is it a NZ thing or am I being a bit thick? :)

Is your recommendation for the hotel as a place to stay or just a bar/restaurant? Makes a difference to what pin I use. :)

Puhoi Pub, Mangawhai Tavern, Parua Bay Tavern, Murphys Law Irish Bar
Added to the map but I couldn't find any forum posts mentioning these (apart from this one). Let me know if I missed something.

They are google map plus codes. I posted instead of the longer latitude/longitude values.

Ah, right. I didn't think to plug those in. I'm not usually a Google maps user but I couldn't find a better alternative for this endeavour. As long as I've got the name and town I can usually find it though.

Terrific photos and recommendations, @Bikerman. Thanks! At breakfast yesterday I asked two of my Sturgis-savvy riding buddies about Keystone and they'd both been there and enjoyed it a lot. I guess that Mr. Sandi and I just scratched the surface of all there is to see and do at the Sturgis rally. or even just the riding through the Black Hills of South Dakota. I'm starting to think it might be a mistake to be "one and done" with Sturgis.

While each of the things you posted look interesting and worthwhile to see and do, the Keystone--Hill City train is the one that really grabbed my attention. I've always loved trains--must be that "big engine" thing.

Thanks for sharing some of your photos and rally memories. :):kissing_heart:

We're still pin-free on the map for many countries that people either live in or know from regular visiting. So, where's good café with good café in France (there must be somewhere - I'm looking at you, @Hubaxe), a fine table of tapas in Spain (you're up, @Chortlingjack), or even a fast bite on the Isle of Man while you're over for the TT?

Top notch tapas bar, outstanding food. Be there at 8:30pm when it opens to get a table.

    Fantastic hot sandwiches.
Not cheap but nothing on the IOM is.
Fantastic views out to see including seals.

It gets a bit crowded these days. Took ages to get a cuppa, that's me, in the queue waving.

France, I can recommend the Big Mountain bar in Chamonix as it is my lad’s bar. His Brewery too. Elevation cafe bar opposite the railway station does a good full English. Again in Chamonix.

    I highly recommend:

    Pic-A-Lilli Inn
    picalilli.com
    866 US 206, Shamong, NJ 08088

This place has been in the same family since the early 1920s. It's on a long, open stretch of Rt. 206 in South Jersey. Jersey Devil country. Not the Hockey team, but the legendary creature that lurks in the woods. It's a favorite biker destination and is usually a stop or an end point for area toy runs and rallies. One of the co-owners (all brothers and sisters) is a hard-core biker. The interior is rustic, and they have an outdoor bar and picnic area. The owners have become friends and we have family celebrations in their side dining room. The food is simple fare, but good. They have the best Buffalo chicken wings anywhere! The wings have their own distinct flavor and are different from any of the other local haunts. You can get them from mild or take-the-top-of-your-head-off HOT.

Thanks @andypandy, @Iron and @Fork Lock. Always good to have a personal photo to add to the pin, as well. I try to find something online if one isn't posted.

@Glenn2926 I added your lad's bar in Chamonix but I wasn't sure about Elevation. Is it this one?

No hangouts as such, a couple of nice places to stay though.
In the French Alps hotel Arrola https://hotel-arolla.fr/en/ in Bourg St. Maurice. I've stayed there twice, and last time I met up with @Hubaxe there, and had had thouroughly pleasant evening. Laid back place with a helpful proprietor.
In Vianden, Luxemburg, Hotel Beimhunn . Great food, and a locked garage for bikes 200 yards up the road.

Cheers. Accomodation also goes on the map. It's not just bars and cafes. Anywhere that someone says 'go here' is fair game.

Somewhat counter-intuitive for a West Country rider to be proposing an easy recommendation for breakfast or lunch in central California but, perhaps I can claim a 'link' in the fact that this fantastic, old fashioned, 'local' diner is in the small town of PLYMOUTH, Ca.

Marlene and Glen's "Dead Fly Diner" is on the corner of Shenandoah and State Route 49. Great, down to earth food served Wed-Sun, 7-2:30 in an unassuming setting.
