Must admit Dunc, I don't think that even I could fuck this up after your post, thanks. Mind you, let's see what tomorrow brings. x

The fire extinguisher for the electrical fire (dry powder obviously) & the bucket of water for when the garage starts to go up

That Dunc ain't just a pretty face... Just seen the post and yep if it don't work just use 87a.... It's a normally open(NO)/ normally closed (NC) relay giving you the option of the idle state of the relay.....

You'd have to be pretty simple to fuck it up after the diagram PIG has done...

And just so you know what I meant by idle state when power is off, circuit is made and power will flow through 87a. Turn power on and the circuit is now made through 87...

I think we're all indebted to Gabby Screwball Johnson for his display of genuine frontier gibberish...

    Why you ask?

    1. Dont have one & wanted to check that its definitely required to add to my shopping list
    2. Dont have one, started job & want to finish it BUT cant be arsed to go & get an inline fuse
    3. I dont think it requires the fitting of an inline fuse (even though i know fuck all about electrics & think a bulb is the sun in a bottle)
    4. I think you have made a mistake with the diagram Dunc you fucking retard

You dont have to fit any fuses anywhere mate, its all about safety, protecting circuits, the bike & the accessories fitted. Personally for the sake of a quid i would but its up to you.

Number 4, pal - wasn't sure if you'd just 'cut and pasted' from somewhere else and accidentally left it in. I apologise unreservedly for doubting you. x

So, I've stumbled across this thread - what make of grips are you fitting B? I have fitted them before and can give honest and useful advice on this thread ( makes a change eh! - too wet out here for white boots today)

Fitting R&Gs. The grips are a bit smaller than the Oxford ones I've had on my previous bikes (which I've always had fitted by dealers in the past at a cost more than the grips themselves!).

I'm sat at the pc myself at the moment (after being out and getting (TWO) in-line fuse holders and a pack of 5A fuses) writing a Mr. Angry letter to my wife's work - it's either that or going and smacking her boss!

Fuck the letter, nobody reads them or takes any notice. Plus her boss will probably think "what a wanker" her husband wrote me an angry letter.... Well i am pissing my pants! NOT!!!

However...... A broken jaw or nose is a constant reminder that you perhaps pissed somebody off.

Whoever said "the pen is mightier than the sword" was a total fucking spineless coward! Where as "actions speak louder than words" gets my vote every time man, its the tried & tested method. View attachment 2035

I'm writing to HR and her boss's, boss's boss. Basically the man is a fat, gay bully. I tend to agree with you, Dunc, but he's already had a couple of complaints against him and I'm hoping that a third my get him sacked or transferred. Then when he's not her boss any more he'll get his smack - or if they don't do anything about it he'll get smack anyway! QED

Right! That's fucking it! I fitted the lovely black bars from my old SIII and the new R&G heated grips to my new one, yesterday. After following the perfect instructions from Dunc (Pig) and John (Screwball) I turned the key and everything came on but the ECU didn't make its usual 'just checking' noises. I pulled the clutch in, hit the start button and... nothing. Fuck! So I started pulling out the new connections, one by one, to see if any of them were interfering with the bike's proper electrics and nothing made a difference. As you all know, I abso-fucking-lutely hate electrics, so I ended up ripping the fucking lot out through sheer frustration! The second I did this I noticed that when I put the new bars on I must have inadvertently hit the engine kill switch... The rest is history - I set fire to the garage, stormed into the house, killed the wife, drank her blood, nailed the dog to the door and resigned from my job. Bought a small place in Armenia and that's where I'm posting from now. Perhaps an over reaction but, God, I feel better for it!

Oh well, what with you being a complete fucktard, the chances are your wiring of the heated grips, despite having a simpletons diagram to follow, would of probably burnt the place down leading to the horrific death of the wife & the dog anyway.

Love you x View attachment 2056
