Sorry mate but I’ve seen the light :grinning:
Used to strap ridiculous amounts of gear to the back of my bikes :(
Like many bikers I thought trailers looked silly and dangerous  but when I decided to give it a go I couldn’t believe how easy and convenient it is :grinning:
Doesn’t affect my riding enjoyment at all :grinning:
And I don’t care what other people think :) because I know it’s better for me and my biking needs :p

Debit/credit card, toothbrush and spare undies, spare gloves and goggles. All carried in a RAF man bag that is 70 years old. Yer got to get yer priorities right.
Tent, no thanks, B and B or Air BnB. i went last year on a 1400 km, 10 day, holiday trip on the Tiger and everything fitted in the panniers. A couple of books in the man bag, light the blue touch paper and stand back, not even a puncture kit.

I know where you’re coming from mate and good on ya :)
But the camping rallies I do cost between £20-£40 for a ticket :p
All entertainment is on site bands/stalls etc :)
You’re 10days cost a lot more than that I’ll bet
The trailer makes life a lot easier

Old school, did all that in the 70's but now a roof and a shower at the end of a hard ride, nice restaurant, your own toilet, double ply paper for my delicate man skin, and a soft bed with 600 count Egyptian cotton sheets, continental brekkies and decent coffee. Civilized, we are not animals. Well I used to be, some of those rallies in the 70's, cold water tap in the middle of nowhere. Only toilet was the in pub and after a few hundred had used it, never again. My mother, God rest her soul, swore, she was going to put the garden hose on me rather than let me in the house to get cleaned up, she made me remove my clothes in the yard before chasing me in to the shower, then called Waste Tech, with Haz-Mat suits on to remove my clothes to the local incinerator rather than clean them.

Now you ARE showing your age......but I agree. However, your 70 yr old RAF man bag is a collectible. The RN, RM and Army would tell you the RAF have been toting Gucci these past 50 yrs ;)

Bear in mind there is size limits for motorcycle trailers :D Could always strap rods stands etc to rack/ tube on top of trailer

Welcome to the family Kerrie. I have to second TEZ's recommendation of strapping the rod bag to the trailer. If your rod bag is anything like mine it would be heavy duty enough to stand any pressure that the bungee's/straps would put on the rods inside so may make your choice of trailer a little easier. Maybe?

Hey Kerrie-Anne, nice bike, you could do as I did and switch to fly fishing, way less paraphernalia than course fishing.

Regular JR Hartley (recon your too young to remember) anyway I get my five section rod, reel vest, flies etc in a messenger saddlebag, just enough space to bring back the trout (doesn't happen often)

See you fly out of Shoreham or its posh name Brighton City Airport, flown in there a few times, good spot to fill up outbound to Brittany, alas don't fly anymore, something to do with two kids in Uni, one kid in sixth form, bloody fees are ridiculous.

The Missenden Flyer, TML (Youtube) is a flying biker, he has some good videos

Enjoy, the clever chaps (not me) on here will see you right

Perhaps we should have a 'Guess the weight' comp Jez

The winner could spend a night, at their own expense, in the same room as your good self and MrO at the 2019 GMU

I'll give the prize away if I'm right! I'm old school none of this kg nonsense I say it's 25lb..mind you if your arms are straight and the fish is inches from the camera it's probably only 2.5lb!

Yep,,,,None of this euro zone units of measurement here what’s wrong with the good old imperial measurements.

@Dougie D your bang on mate, hold the fish at arms length, close to the camera to emphasise its size
But sorry it’s more than 2.5lbs in fact it’s more than 25lbs.

Snapper, found in the Pacific (NZ and Australia, although small snapper called bream in Ozzie). Good fighters and flesh has good lasting qualities.
Table fish 3-8lbs, trophy or catch of a lifetime (we release) 20lb
