:) That's definately worth checking then, would explain the error codes, and would be too simple a fix.

Another update... I changed out the coil packs and spark plugs, same problem..checked all the wiring and connectors, all seem in really good condition, no chaffed wires, all pins look clean and well lubricated. Does anybody know if a 2004 955i Daytona ECM is compatible with the 2002 speed triple?? I am running out of ideas now and might have to consider taking it to a professional.. and spending my retirement fund.... ;-((

Thanks, Triumph don't bloody list part numbers in their manuals so its not easy to see if the ECM is the same, looks the same but the programming could be different inside.. I still have the warm wire which has to be something drawing excess current and then packing in and stopping the bike until it cools down again... doing my head in..

    Round your way!
The connector wiring shows signs of verdigris, oxidation of the copper cores. Caused by water ingress. Verdigris causes HR's, high resistances. Might be worth investing in a can of "Caig DeOxit" to clean the connector and cores. Its quite expensive, but I swear by it. Has cured loads of ECU errors I have encountered on modern vehicles. Cheaper than an ECU anyway.

Hi mate, I have a Les Paul standard too... honestly though I prefer my USA Tele with Dimarzios, so much easier to play and lighter too, the LP is very pretty though!!

I have tried different Fenders over the years, but cannot get the sound I am after with them. Oh well, Different strokes for different folks!

Its fixed!!!! Thanks for all the advice.... despite all the fault codes being fuel related the problem was not fuel related at all... it was the f****** crankshaft sensor, I know somebody suggested trying that but I was convinced it was fuel related following the fault codes.. grr. I can concentrate on tidying up the wiring and giving it a really good clean now!!

    Was that me?...
Do I feel incredibly smug? (of course) :D

Anyway, glad you got it sorted and not too expensive a fix.
And now you can even go and ride the bloody thing. Ride safe.
