Reviving an old thread here. But did you end up needing to do a tune for that exhaust?

I’m about to pickup a 2019 RS and love the look of the S1 exhaust. I’m just unclear on tuning options for this bike, or if it’s even needed.

I think your only real choice with a tune would be PCV . Unless you believe that one person in the whole world has broken the code ..

I think your bike ecu should recognise the change a realter itself to accommodate think you can do this about three times.

Oh interesting. I did that when I decatted my T120, but I wasn’t sure that the Speedy’s ECU did that.

Do you just idle it until the fan turns on?

Since I posted in this thread I’ve learned that none of the shops around me will tune a street bike due to emissions laws (California). So I’m stuck with existing maps. And I haven’t seen anyone sharing PCV maps for that model and/or exhaust.

I did find a place called DNK tuneworks that will flash your ECU, your send you a TuneECU compatible map.

I’m going to try the “self healing” method first, then loading the map available on the TuneECU site. And if there’s still problems I’ll pay DNK for a tune.

You turn it on and start it, don’t touch anything and leave it. When the fan kicks in, LEAVE IT FOR 12 MINS!!!
I did 13 to make sure.
Sorry for caps but thats the important bit!

You can't flash the 2018 on model. So PCV or just reset.. as per. But that will onmy affect low revs .

Agreed. I took mine to a well known place for the ecu work ache could connect to it but said there was code there that he’d never seen before at the start of the file. Loads of f’s and @ signs at the start so he wouldn’t do it.

I know I’m re-re-reviving an old thread here!

I’ve had my Speed Triple RS (1050) nearly a year. Just had its 6,000 mile service and all good.

I’ve always wanted to swap out the underseat arrows for a 3 into 1 low exhaust as per this thread, but haven’t taken the plunge yet.

I don’t want to go down the route of Power Commander or dyno, so would rely on the old 12 minute adaptation.

Interested to get feed back from those of you who have done this and run the bike for a while…. Any issues with lean running, throttle response, servicing issues, excessive heat, warranty etc etc?

In addition to SC Project and Austin Racing, there now seem to be products available from Scorpion, LeoVince, SP Engineering and maybe others. Anyone tried any of these?

Have been eyeing these as well. Looks like Mivv just came out with a new system as well. Very similar to the shorter GP style of the AR and SC pipes. WIth a slightly longer pipe/muffler wonder if this would put out a bit more power on the dyno...

Leiker Lk 180mm can, with their "pie cut" tip. Sounds great. Fitment was spot on, I have installed a few exhausts over the years, Mivv, Arrow, Scorpion, Termignoni, FMF, Yoshimura, Akrapovic, Pro Circuit, Leo Vince; and this by far is one of the best fitting and best craftsmanship I have seen. Beautiful welds, beyond light, stunning to look at. Sounds mean with the baffle out, sounds close to the same level as the Arrow (baffles removed) when the LK can has its baffle in. Going to do some riding over the course of the next week with and without baffle to see how it does...
