Yes, I've watched quite a few of his collection. Lots of practical advice and plenty of useful tips.

I class my bus pass (yes, I do have one ... really!) as a 'badge of honour' - like a long service medal!!! :D:p:cool:

At what age do you get a bus pass in UK - 60 or 65?

@half ton - I knew there was something basically sound about you !!

Something for nothing??? I'll have worked 50 hard years to get this! Probably still won't use it , I'll take the bike, at least I'll know it'll be on time and I'll have a guaranteed seat!!

I was born 3 months too late to get my bus pass at 60 - now it's 64 and 3 months (unless they change the goalposts again)

My wife won't get her pension until she's 66 (at least mine is still 65 at the moment)

It's not that I'm against some of the changes but the way they were implemented was very unfair. It should have been a gradual introduction. A bit of a blow to a woman approaching 60 only to find out she won't get a pension until she's 66.

Never mind, at least the big earners got a tax cut.

Errr.... is this what they call a hi-jack? ;)

  7. Ha, crack on ! it doesn't bother me :D

Hijack continues - The whole point about pensions is that they are supposed to be a long-term business/idea.

How can anyone have any faith in putting money away for a future pension in 20/30/40 years, if when you get close the rules regarding access change radically.

It's yet another nail in the 'long-term plan' coffin. Fortunately I'm able to access my pensions pots now - so I'm havin' the lot out tout de suite. Might buy myself another bike. Enjoy the dosh while you can I say, you're a long-time dead.

I used to be much more cautious and have long & medium term plans, but what life has shown me is that things outwith my control can completely turn your life upside down - so live for now.

I do see what you mean. That looks to me more like the downpipes need to come off and be cleaned up with one of those electric bench buffing/polishing wheel things.

  11. That's why I was going to wrap them in the first place. I will give the stuff I've ordered a go first, if that's no good then i'll have them off.
