There's an awful lot of misinformation and rubbish spouted about electric vehicles in general. There has been massive leaps in the tech around not just vehicles but the generation and storage of electricity for furure use. There will be massive changes in the infrastructure that will completely change how we produce, store and use electricity.
We are still along way off, but the technology is there to support grid to home to grid and use the car/bike batteries within this system. As vehicle sales increase, the infrastructure will change and keep pace with demand.
And, don't forget, producing petrol/diesel etc uses an awful lot of electricity in the process.

    Interesting concept here...

Hahaha! :joy::joy: That's his usual "look", freck. It takes a lot to make him look impressed with anything! Well, he does sometimes look impressed with me. ;)

Just food for thought, it all has to be economically justified, or it doesn't work out. Rule #1 there are no free lunches anywhere. As an engineer i am all ears about technology to improve. But i no longer get so star struck that i cannot read between the lines of bullshit. Rare earth materials can yield gains but they aren't substantable or economical feasible in the future. In the 80's an incredible insulating material was developed called aerogel aka frozen smoke, it's a solid but lighter than air, so it may float away. It isn't economically viable.

Oh yeah big hint, the electric utility companies, the solar or wind farmers, don't drive around in EV's even though they get it "free".

[IMG]About 10+ years ago our company was given 2 Vectrix scooters which were fekkin huge! Bloody heavy & the battery lasted about 40% of what they claimed....but....0-62 these ugly ducklings bloody flew!!!! They handled amazingly well (only limited by how much bodywork you were prepared to damage) for their size & because we didnt use them on the road they were fully lit every time they got used...hence they ran out of charge soon. The supplier had one which would do 120mph! That was way back then.

I imagine now they are quite incredible tools & John McGuiness/Rutter have done awesome things at the TT with them but......for me.....I was brought up with a Fizza followed by KH and an LC so ive tried em , i actually liked em....but ill never bloody buy one!!!! Helmets going in the bin the day they close the V-Power pump!!!!!!
