Daytona 765 Moto2 Limited Edition

you will save £766 but lose on depreciation. The ducati prices drop like a stone (check used 959 prices) the Daytona will hold it value alot better. The Daytona also has better spec

 

I was talking about the hypothetical price mentioned in this thread and factoring in a deal on the V2. For road use I'm not sure the spec matters or would be evident. V2 is 155bhp vs 128. I think the Daytona is a great bike and I appreciate the engineering but I want to use a bike not look at it. Life's too short.

 

Ah I see, fair enough. I had a deposit on a v2 but when I saw a cancelled 765 order sitting in the showroom I snapped it up and cancelled the v2. The Daytona will be easier to live with and be equally as fast. I fully intend to use my 765 a lot and my 675R is still the best bike I’ve ridden so if this is as good as they say then it will be epic!

I saw one at the factory the day they put it on display, it was a great looking thing. Good for you for riding it, they're not ornaments
I do wish they hadn't dropped the Daytona but not having a current model keeps this model exclusive and limited I guess. I would say that of all the special editions Triumph have produced this one is by far the best. Much more than trinkets bolted on. The V2 pushes more buttons for me though.

Well you got me stuck for a reply. You I would say are a smart cookie and I hope you get your dream. The 675 is no toy so you certainly know how to tame a beast. And I am beginning to think you are a rich girl. But I do hope it works for you. As soon as the sun rears it head you got to be ready to pounce as they will be looking for you bike.

Limited edition specials can generate dosh, cash when you find someone late outa the gate who HAS to have the latest and greatest. There are people out there where money is no object, and logic flies out the window. What your betting against is that other spectulaters have overbought the MUST HAVE market. Will I part with the money to gain the so called 11% usable performance gain between the my 2019 street triple RS and the newest 2020 as the numbers presented by the marketing department don't seem to make sense. I have yet to exploit all of the power available on my 2019 RS due to my light body weight, and available roads, high wind conditions have never allowed it. Would love to fly the front wheel for a hundred yards.

Don't really know much about the 'Limited Edition' Daytona, but I know another forum member @Dozers Dad was looking at a similar investment with the R3, originally a very limited supply model, but Triumph later decided they would cash in on the popularity & press hype & build more, so DD decided against it as an investment.
I would just be wary in case Triumph, who after-all, are in the business of selling motorcycles, decide that the limited edition should have an extended run. Is there any guarantee that the number of these is 100% guaranteed not to exceed the original run or 'special edition'?

On the Street 765RS I had one & loved it after first owning a 675R, but have no illusion that the 765RS has all the potential to get you sent straight to jail! I owned one for just over a year & loved it, my view of it on below thread if you are interested?
