Cruise Control T120

You betcha!!!! As mentioned, I live on the west end of "The Loneliest Hwy" (rye 50) in Nevada & CC is a blessing with 10,20,40,50 mile steights with maybe a few soft curves in between mountain ranges. About anywhere wrst of St Louis it's handy.

 

Darn spelling; rye, strait& west.

 

It's on the Tiger and I found it useful when the M3 had miles and miles of average 50mph road works going on.
Used it in France a few times on long motorway runs but could live without it if I'm honest.
My last two cars have had it but I've never bothered using it - bit of a waste of time in the UK to be honest.

 

I do the same in the car as it allows you to focus on the surroundings instead of constantly checking the speedo. Unfortunately, on my Trophy SE the cruise control does activate until you are on fourth gear. and I think you have to be moving faster than forty MPH.

 

On the RS and Tiger, I think it's 3rd gear up and 25mph to activate.
Use it all the time over here in the UK, but it really makes a difference on longer journeys through France etc.

 

I see for the T120 with a DRL, there are 2 cruise controls listed, Type 1 and Type 2, does anyone know what the difference is?

Divide that by the no of times you use the motorway divided by the number of times traffic conditions permit divided by the number of times you are suffering from wrist fatigue.......

I used mine on my Subaru very, very occasionally - usually to give my right ankle a workout on long runs. Subjectively it is a £20 toy - nice as standard but a very pricey aftermarket gadget.

Look at this way......have you got a better use for that £250?

 

Annoying thing is, if they fitted it as std to the bike, it's only add something like £50 to the price

I use cruise control a lot both on the bike and in the car, even though I live in the high traffic South East.
It's handy for long journeys, poodling around in 30 and 40mph limits and the interminable average speed roadworks we seem to get everywhere these days.
If you use it, it is a very handy thing to have.

Not sure it's £275's worth though....

 

Same here. I live ion East London, don't hold it against me, and use the cruise control; on my Trophy on a regular basis. I'm not yet sure if i will bother putting cc on the Bonnie.

Hi, I have been using a Universal Vista CC for a number of years. Really useful whenever there is a clear run, just come up to speed, latch it on and concentrate on the rest of the traffic. On long uphills twitch a bit more throttle to keep speed up and back off a bit on downhills. I travel the A46 from Leicester north and back CC on all the way. A14, M11, M25, M2 to Dover all the way. I cross Europe for hours at a time using motorways to make progress CC on most of the way. Wouldn't be without it.

 

Have two of these fitted to my Thruxton R, wouldnt be without them

 

Just had the cruise control fitted ( no labour charges, thank you dealer!), well impressed, ease of use, prevents me getting numb thumb! Recommended.
