Cover Your Chap Gap

Nope that's not me I'm afraid, I don't have red hair, I don't own a kilt in the standard Stewart tartan (I've got kilts in Anderson, Auld Lang Syne, MacLean, Black Watch, Black Stewart, MacNeill and MacDonald) and, the worst offence of all is that those are clearly a set of those very cheap, very nasty imitation bagpipes made out of something vaguely resembling matchwood and coloured with boot polich that are manufactured in Pakistan by men in loincloths sitting on mud floors with rudimentary tools. I kid you not! One of the companies actually sent me a promotional video proudly showing their staff at work when I made an enquiry about something a few years ago.

 

In the interests of pedantry and accuracy, those items that go to the knee with fringes are NOT chaps....they are Chinks......(not just the yellow pair either!)

 

I bow to your superior knowledge of this type of attire, as it's not my scene.........
