    Deux points:

I never passed comment on the ladder story. It simply illustrates the problem of proximate cause and dying ‘of Covid’ or ‘with Covid’.

Secondly you seem desperate NOT to be forgotten but don’t actually make the leap from playground insult to mature argument.

One example is not all. Usual process.
You probably insulted more than your turn, even in my own language.
Now all of this is irritating a lot of people here, and I understand them. I drop it.

And stop quoting me in your flooding post. Well do what you want, I won't answer anymore.

And it is you that is the most irritating! : unamused:

Present some real facts, in context to previous years. Childish emotions are not evidence or facts

A pretty unsubtle reference to 1984 in the chorus!

I don't know why they do it that way, but, as you will understand, the way they count UK COVID-19 deaths means that the number could include people whose deaths were not caused by COVID-19 and, possibly, miss deaths that were caused by COVID-19.

    https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/det...tive-deaths-within-28-days-of-a-positive-test

The problem is that all of the UK statistics cannot be trusted.

Why, indeed, would they do that?

    Pull up a chair.

When this thing kicked off there were no tests available for this specific virus.....it was thought. Once the genetic sequence was discovered it became possible to search for chunks of matching genetic code. By running the test through multiple cycles you could find infinitesimally small segments. Great?

Not exactly. The guy who devised the PCR test (recently deceased) intended it as a research tool NOT a diagnostic tool. He suggested it might need to run up to as many as 40 cycles to find ‘something ‘ but probably only 20. The UK Covid test has typically been run at 45.....

Which means the test is a mixture of vague and inaccurate......just like the resulting data. A positive test could be:
    A live infection
    A past infection
Dead virus on the patient killed by their immune system
Contamination (a big problem if you saw the C4 Despatches programme.)

So all the ‘cases’ reported don’t tell us that much. Early on they might have done because it was mostly all new disease. By the time testing was ramped up there were thousands like my daughter and son-in-law - recovered but shedding dead virus. A recent Austrian study of such asymptomatic positive cases revealed 97% were NOT infectious.

My opinion: Politicians cocked up taking advice from non subject matter experts. They still are and using vaccine cavalry to get THEM out of gaol.

In fact we had more pre-existing immunity than previously supposed and with a second spike in infections appear to now be herd immunity territory. The epidemic is naturally subsiding as the numbers indicate. It predated any Lockdown. The vaccine is nice to have (if proven thoroughly safe) but looks increasingly superfluous this time around. Covid will doubtless re-emerge as a seasonal bug much like bad flu.

Oh and big tech are trying to censor him.....a lot of big money at stake.

Yes you are quite correct, they did put a bell in the ball for a short period. But we soon found out that our players perform much better in a game if they don't actually touch the ball.

Jokes aside, the cat that has been belled is us. I think the time for mass civil disobedience may be much closer than some of the yawners presently suppose. Seriously WTF are the authorities up to because the lies are shredding?

and we have the spectacle of ITN film crews admitted to care homes filming little old dears about how a vaccine will set them free when their own relatives aren’t allowed in to see them FFS! No masks, of course.

And a world renowned Japanese virologist saying he wouldn’t be having that vaccine just yet.....
