All jokes aside Hydrogen power only emits water vapour, and is really looking like the only substance that can be piped to you abode with a filler to power your car as well

Ford motor company have spent millions on hydrogen power, but still keep arriving at the same conclusion. Safe storage, (public facilities - petrol stations) safe transfer from storage facility to vehicle, making vehicle safe in the event of collision or when being serviced / repaired. All issues that they are unable to master.
Truth of the matter is that no Government wishes to invest whole heartedly in alternative fuel because they currently make shit loads of money from tax revenue on petrol/diesel sales & road fund duty. Where do we go from here?

I’m pretty sure there’s a Hydrogen fuel station in Hendon and another on the M40 without any explosive issues.
It’s a little bit like LPG no one bought into it for years,
the the government saw a tax that was being missed and they lost the congestion charge exemption and road tax exemption .

Although as previously mentioned,I cannot see any other fuel source without major infastucture changes being as viable

There are Hydrogen minibuses sponsored by Ford in Scotland (away from the cities) & passenger buses, but as mentioned there are very few fuel stations ,& even fewer service stations with techs who have the necessary training to service these vehicles without the potential of catastrophic explosion. They can be extremely volatile if not handled correctly. Very specialised.
Hydrogen power would be fantastic but I just cannot see it happening, but to be fair we thought we wouldn’t see electric cars. Let’s see, I suspect I’ll be long gone before the masses use hydrogen powered vehicles. I personally see electric as a halfway house.

to be fair you’re confusing people keeping them on the road to reliability, there’s a 110 county in my back garden that’s not run since 2004, not worth repairing bud

Storing and transferring hydrogen is problematic in the presence of potential ignition sources.....

It’s rotten from towing a ski boat out of salt water but to be fair it wasn’t good before the salt got at it.
Every ally panel has terminal oxidising and everything made of steel is bad .

The boats still owned by a pal of mine though and that’s 2 years older than the Rover it is fibreglass on wood though

Yeah, but that's the image that comes to mind when I think of wraping my thighs around a hydrogen powered bike...roasted nuts anyone :worried:

Still worth some money. Now is the time to sell. They are worth putting a new chassis on and all panel are available to buy. Chuck it on eBay, someone will buy it.

Land Rover Defenders / Series are shit cars, but great great bit of kit for going anywhere.

Greenest vehicle on the road. More energy goes into building a car, than it burns in fuel. Just keep rebuilding, last you for ever.

Unfortunately, going for silly money now.

I did advertise it for offers three years ago, everyone that viewed it walked away.
I’ve removed off anything of value and left it as garden art

    We have. Hydrogen hasn’t........

It is tricky stuff and makes petrol look relatively tame......

Now your horses produce Methane - that’s a carbon atom to 4 hydrogen atoms. Calms things down a lot!

There is absolutely no factual evidence in that drivel from University of Hull whatsoever

Claim 1. Climate change does occur as part of a natual cycle that is proven scientific fact, and anyone denying that is delusional.

Claim 2. WTF?? What a pathetic argument to make, especially from an acedemic institution. The facts are that for most of history the earth has been much warmer than it currently is, and life (including humanoid life) thrived.

Cliam 3. OMG!! - Is this really from an acedemic institution, it beggers belief. Africa (that includes Lybia for those idiots at Hull University) is less humid (less water) than it was in history, and the level of humidity is due to the planets obital cycles. See: https://www.nature.com/scitable/kno...ahara-african-humid-periods-paced-by-82884405

Claim 4. The climate forcast models ARE unreliable, and have been proved so, current climate fact disproves them.

Claim 5. Oh they can't even count :p

    Claims 6 & 7 just aren't worth bothering with...

I’ve said before the science behind this is weak. You can prove anything with statistics. My baseline position is that ALL the CO2 being released through burning fuel was once in the atmosphere- at that time there was the greatest Forna/flora diversity of life the Earth has ever seen...

I do agree with being environmentally mindful- like stop building houses all over the south of England as it is destroying the country side, causes flooding etc - and let’s be prepared for ‘energy Security’ issues. Ie if Iran/Russia shuts down oil/gas deliveries...

Having repeatedly been impacted by the recent environmental protests across the uk I do not support them.
It’s cost me loads in taxi fairs and pumped unnecessary co2 into the atmosphere. Their science is based on woo...

Maybe they can sail their stupid yachts off the edge of the world?
