I suspect you are right there, @Wishbone. All except for (I hope) my Speed Triple.

I just talked to the service manager at my local Triumph dealer. They've not yet heard a thing from Triumph yet and have just heard about this real from a few customers like me. That happened with the quick shifter issues on the Speed Triples, too. I told my dealership about it before they heard a word from Triumph U.S. Hmmm... Doesn't engender confidence. :( Thank goodness for this forum and the info we learn and share here!! :)

Thanks a bunch for this link, Stuart. It’s very helpful and very useful. I will be forwarding it to my local dealership’s service manager. I’m also gonna plug my own motorcycle in to the search function to double check that it’s included in the group that is being recalled. I would be surprised if it wasn’t. Pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless.

My Street RS was taken in today and had the new pads fitted under the recall. Taking it easy for 50 miles or so was the advice, but I can feel they bite like a rabid bull terrier already, no difference from before, but will not push them for a bit.

Also whilst it was in there I asked about the heated grips, as the OEM ones fitted to my bike only had 2 heat settings, and other users had reported there should be 3. Apparently there is a software upgrade available for those whose grips only have 2 settings. You can tell if yours needs the upgrade when you turn on the grips, there should be 3 heat settings, red with 3 dots, amber with 2 dots and a sort of yellow with one dot, and obviously off. Got that done whilst my bike was in there as well, now have the 3 heat settings, toasty.
