Only real mishap I have had was on a exercise out of West Raynam base late 70's, we decided to cross a field and while I was climbing over the gate I slipped on the top and did a Benny Hill across the top bar, I managed to complete the course but after, I had a set of gonads like melons so I lumbered of to the MO like John Wayne and entered the med centre, "what's the matter with you said a stern voice" amazing how all MO's think your malingering, I have hurt my testicles on a gate said I, immediate laughter from one and all, "lets have a look at them said the MO, what he meant was himself and all present I am sure there was the odd cleaner as well, anyway after some pain killers and rest I can safely say all was in working order and it was Mr wobbly hides his helmet in the nearest waaf before long.

Some of you have seen these pics, some not. I broke my elbow (olecranon) and my pelvis (pubic rami) in a bicycle (push bike) crash in mid-January 2020. The way my orthopedic surgeon described my elbow fracture to Mr. Sandi when I came out of surgery was that I'd "pulverized it". I don't like to do anything half-as*ed.

What a great way to start off this crazy year of 2020--I was socially distancing and observing stay-at-home orders before it was "fashionable". ;) One of the worst things was that I couldn't ride my motorcycles for six and a half months. Damn those push bikes!:p:joy:

With my protector dog, Annie, who we sadly said our final goodbyes to last month. Unless she was on a walk with Mr. Sandi, she was by my side through it all.

This shows where I broke my pelvis. This is clearly NOT my x-ray. :joy:

My pelvis is all healed up and a thing of the past. My elbow is decent but still doesn't bend all the way and i'm continuing to do home PT daily. But I can RIDE!!!

Broke my right femur in 3 places ice skating when I was 17. Bit of poetic justice really was spraying ice up a female ice dancers short dance skirt as she bent down to tie her skates up . We learnt to skate together when we were about 5 she went the ice dancing route I went the speed skating, barrel jumping route The young lady did have a cracking arse and I got to date her after finally got out of hospital 3months later.

Got 6 months off work, couldn't race any more though. My right leg was 25mm shorterr than my left when racing you skate anti clockwise round the ice so couldn'tt get the drive on the corners with my right leg so wasn't fast enough any to be competitive. We dated for about a year so it was alot of pity. She reminds me of what a d*ck head I was when ever we bump into each other.

About 15 years ago, thousands of miles from home, south of France , Massif l'Esterel, T-shirt & shorts, dirt roads + GSX1400 and an old vid camera, I said to the missus,"Hop off and get some footage!"

    Yup the classic, "Watch this!"

Went up a berm, saw a small hole, went over small hole and down it went. Footpeg hero blob down the back of my leg. Nasty but you know how it is, I was more concerned about the bent bars.

Anyway, all on tape with my missus cutting the video recording with "Oh FFS!!!"

Worst bike injury though was on her Virago535. Well not on it. Next to it. Walked past that stupid big front wheel in the garage and caught my foot and dislocated my knee. Down like a sack off spuds. Into work on the bike the next day and it was the walk (hobble/hop) of shame (helmet on) across the yard. Folk out for a puff, "Look at that, thats the trouble with the bikes"

    Assuming bastards.
