Bar End Mirror install issues.

Without putting the bar end adapter in? The problem I'm having is the adapters aren't fitting into the bar because of the metal edging around the interior of the bar. I assume this is part of the bigger piece at the back but I'm not positive. See attached image.

Yes, without any adaptors going into the bars.

It's funny... I never really thought it would be the wrong piece because they told me to buy that one in the first place. Hopefully anyone looking to take the stock mirrors off of their bike will see this thread.
