I love the sound of mine without the baffles getting the first service done Tuesday so I'll see what the upper end of the rev range sounds like soon ✌

The popping and banging is probably due to the Air Injection system, which can be removed if you choose to. The bike will run smoother as well.

Is there much noise difference with the end cut off but baffles in?

It liberates a bit more noise, but also allows the gasses to flow a bit freer, meaning the end cans run cooler. Even after a good run, the outside are just warm to the touch. It also allows slight burble on the overrun rather than popping. It is how I prefer it.

Love the sound! just came over to triumph having had a fireblade with a race fit black edition, these ain't loud at all. In fact when you get a shift on the noise vanished as it gets drowned out by wind noise. Keep letting the throttle off just to hear the pop and bang..... no baffles here!!!
