I think @brown mouse is right. I cant remember any Triumph I've owned that actually had any real weight to the bar end finishers. Some have had bar end mirrors which I suppose act as weights. Both KTM's I've owned have had proper heavy weights in the bar ends.

All the early 885 cc water cooled triumph's did , my 94 Trident certainly did , they weighed something like 150g each .
I took them off to mount hand guards , similar to Moto X brush hand shields. They were excellent in winter to keep the extremities warm :):):):);););)

None of my old jap bikes had weights and they all vibrated more than most current bikes. Even with all the counter-rotating crankshaft balancers being used now, I hear people complain about hand vibration. I don't get it.

My Tiger 885i had really quite heavy bar end weights. When I fitted some lower and lighter Renthal bars the end weights wouldn't fit to the bars very securely without modification, so I tried the bike with and without them to see if they actually made any difference.

The end weights made no difference whatsover to vibration or stability or vision from the mirrors. I tried the bike at different speeds, different revs, different types of road surface. No difference at all, with or without the heavy end weights, so I've left them off and haven't missed them at all.
