Heal fast, being broken sucks, but on a positive thought, at least it is winter!

Wishing you all the best on recovery. At least you can catch up on reading or such. Asking the Lord Jesus to give you healing and patience in this frustrating and painful time.

Much better: It is alpine. And therefore even North-Italian... (South-Tyrolean)
But I also heard some yodelizators coming from Texas and the Cajun swamps, is that true?

Probably those darn Trapps brought it over, like a disease... :mask:
Watch out children! Don‘t catch the YODELS...

Thanks, @Hippo-Drones! I appreciate your encouragement andI am working on healing fast. Yes, been broken does suck but I keep reminding myself that this is temporary and I count my blessings in that respect. On the other hand, winter in the Tucson desert is actually the BEST time of the year for riding. Nearly every day since my bicycle crash it has been about 70°F, sunny, and calm here. Of course. One of my riding buddies decided it would be good to tell me that I would be healed up just in time to ride again when it gets hot here. I said thanks a lot for that encouraging word!

Well Dear Sandi T. Steve. Annie.
We are all still missing you. Today here in Blighty after the frost it was pleasantly sunny. But I am decorating so can't make you feel any worse. But I do hope you are behaving.
    Brotherly love and Hugs

Thanks, @Don the Don! Definitely on the mend. With great effort and at a very slow pace and with lots of leaning on Mr. Sandi's arm, I was able to "walk" (I use that term loosely) from the living room into the bathroom and back for the first time since my accident! I was so happy I nearly started crying. :joy::joy: :sob:

Rest is a great healer...and so are apple fritters! I've had an apple fritter each morning for the past five days. Here's a shot of today's delicious version from Amy's Donuts! Amy's was a stop on Speedy's and my anniversary ride that I posted last November. :) When I'm healed up and riding again Speedy and I will go there again to celebrate my being back in the saddle.

BTW, Mr.Sandi bought that mug in the picture for me for Christmas. And yes, evidently I am a ray of fecking sunshine! ;)

Hahaha, v-e-r-y funny @Dozers Dad! :p No, roller skates are far more dangerous than bicycles and motorcycles! I am doing much better each day, thank you. I had my 1st physical therapy appointment on Monday where they made me a proper splint for my left arm and elbow. And of they course gave me some lovely PT exercises to do 3x each day at home which I very happily do! Gotta mend! I've motorcycles to ride! Oh, and of course I have to go back to work at some point too.

Tomorrow I have my second PT appointment right after my sutures are removed. I am really looking forward to that. Ahhh, life's simple pleasures. ;):joy::joy::joy:

Thanks for your daily cheerful check-in, @joe mc donald! Glad you had a sunny day across the pond! :sun: Thanks for the tempting Rocket photo you attached to your post. I am certainly behaving although I don't have too much of an alternative since I move at a snails pace with great effort and Steve's strong right arm for support right now.

That said, I guess I could misbehave by being Miss Whiney-Baby. But I'm not going there. I have too many things to be grateful for and I find myself mostly counting my blessings through this experience. Each month the school where I work has a value of the month. January's is patience. Coincidence? I don't think so!! :joy::joy::joy::heart:

Thank you so much, @Hobnail. Appreciate your wishes for my recovery. And I especially appreciate your prayers for healing and patience. I pray for those things each morning along with a prayer to be grateful for all my blessings. And those blessings most certainly include my husband, who has been a terrific caretaker, and our friends who have been supportive, helpful, and encouraging. I'm also very grateful that my injuries are temporary and that I will be able to return to riding my beloved motorcycles. I'll also be able to return to riding my bicycle. But right now my bicycle is not so beloved by me. ;):joy:

Thanks, Daniel! I appreciate those ultra positive German vibes! It would be fun if we could post sounds because I would love to hear your version of Yodeleiiiidiiiiuuuu! :joy::joy::joy::heart:

My spirits are pretty good because I definitely am in caring hands…and paws. :):kissing_heart: Yes, there are so many tragic thingshappening everywhere. That most certainly puts my short-lived injuries and inconveniences in perspective.

    Sandy T;
Good to hear your recuperation is going to plan.
Incidently, how did the bicycle fare in this accident? Will it need help from the Bike Doc?
    Take care,Ken.

Hi @Kenbro. Thanks for inquiring about the health of my bicycle. It’s a very expensive custom bike and, though it is fairly old, I’d rather not have to replace it on top of my medical expenses! From what Mr. Sandi has said, it looks like there was very little damage. I think my body took the brunt of the fall and I saved the bike. :joy::joy::joy: I will definitely want to get it checked out more extensively because I have no interest in getting on a bicycle that might break while I’m riding it. One fall from that thing is more than enough. :p
