Thanks darkman, very pleased with it, the water slide decal handled the laqer thankfully , I misted it firxt and let it tack off a little more than usual before the following two coats . Other things that may of helped were the fact that the first coat of paint on the tank had been on there a good couple of weeks and I also put the water slide on two days previously allowing it to fully dry .. or was just lucky !
Think I will flat off next with 1500 then polish then finaly pin stripe . :)

I will flat it as I do have a couple of small inclusions , I have to paint in an albeit v clean powder shop, flatting should soften the edges and make striping a little easier I hope as may attempt myself but not sue yet . I know what you mean though , if I had a perfect fininsh I be tempted to leave it to.

These beauties turned up in the post . Awaiting some spacers before I can fit them though .

I decided to fit a new pair , I was going to rebuild my old ones until the centre jet assembly stripped out the alley threads in the main body :(, a shame but would of cost about £60 in parts and tbh I want the bike to run nice without the hassle of unknown worn parts so decided to fork out more bucks , hopefully nearly there now so the wallet can get some relief .

Being a newbie at fitting motorcycle tyres I think I have cocked up . Not realising there may be balance dots on on my tyres Dunlop k70's I never looked, but have since AND they do in fact have yellow dots on , Is it the case as I fear I need to rotate the dot to align with the valve for both front and rear ?

Book shows carb spacer but 69 manifold has welded studs that are not long enough for spacers, so in reality 69's don't have them.

Thanks for the pic , I did offer up without spacer at first and it looks like it would work with or without spacer , they were only £4 so will see when they turn up if they appear to be of any use .

I am now thinking about the bikes electrics , not one of my strong points :worried:
I have a pazon kit , but now just starting to realise I need a rectifier as I have nothing with the bike , is there a best kind ? Trying to get all electrical bits on and see if I can work out what goes where ,the easy connections on first so hopefully left with a bit less spagetti .

cheers , will go search :), bit of an ask but do you have any pics of your bike with tank off showing wiring routing or a link to one . Is it best to wire it negative earth ,think I might .

to Farmborough next week if Nefarious can fit it in , so thanks for the lead for that .

Blimey £85 for a Boyer just when I thought my spending was over !

I dont want to sound a cheapskate but after more searching for rectifiers I can see a Podtronics version would be cheaper , are they well regarded ?,I see they are American which I usually take to be a good sign in terms of quality .
Sorry for the questions but is it a single phase unit I require , Stator has 2 wires is this the clue ? .
