    Thanks, Steve! I'm glad to share our trips through photos and narration. What would be even better is if forum friends like you could come join us! I'm glad to know you're (finally!) having sunshine and blue skies. Hope you're able to get out riding a lot while the weather is cooperating!

    @Armando Morales
    Thanks for the positive feedback, Armando! I really appreciate it. Yeah, the carnitas are a bit "fancy pants" at The Turquoise Room. But man oh man, are they ever delicious! The mole sauce is rich and complex and the pork comes in big but tender chunks. I'd definitely order it again...but everything I've had on the menu has been terrific so it's tough to choose!

    Well, when you do book your flight FOR REAL @Bikerman, Steve and I will be waiting for you with a motorcycle at the ready! You might want to wait until it cools down a wee bit, though. ;):joy: This is from this morning.....

    That's freezing, my brother lives in spain, and it was 114 f there yesterday
    I remember one evening when I lived there it was 122 F. For some strange reason, the heat never bothered me.

    Holy schmoly! 122ºF?? I can't quite imagine that, even living here in the Arizona desert. I've seen 114ºF too many times to count and am sure we'll see those temps here in the not-too-distant future. But 122? I surely hope not!! :scream: Your brother must be Teflon Man. :sun::sun::sun::cool::cool::cool:

    As the saying goes Sandi, "all good things must come to an end" but it's always nice to arrive home safely. :) Time to relax, get your feet up and plan the next one!:grinning:

    You are right about all good things coming to an end, @Pegscraper! But if they didn't, I suspect we wouldn't appreciate them as much. And you are doubly right about arriving home safely. :) I always breathe a sigh of relief and pray a prayer of thanks when that garage door rolls up.

    While we've been doing a bit of relaxing as you suggested, we have in fact already planned the next one! In just under five weeks we're hitting the road again for a 12 day trip to the 83rd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. :D The routes to and from the Black Hills will be as much or even more a part of this next adventure than the rally itself. This is the first time we've ever done two big motorcycle trips in one summer...or even in one year. And an added bonus is that we'll be connecting with my Minnesota family there. My two nephews who are both in their 20's recently got bikes and are planning to ride to the rally with some buddies. Their dad and mom--my brother and sister-in-law--are driving out and staying with some friends who live in the Black Hills. :) Pretty cool! :heart:

    Oh great, not only did I wake up from a dream thinking I'd booked up a flight to Arizona, but now you're going to Sturgis. How can you be so cruel:sob::sob:

    You could still book that trip to Arizona, @Bikerman! We don't leave until the last Saturday in July. ;) And just to sweeten the pot, you should know that we'll be riding through Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming on our way to the Black Hills of South Dakota. :):heart:

    Been to all that lot in 1995 when I did 8265 miles around the US and Canada, the bloke who checked back the car, was gobsmacked at the milage I'd put on it, in 4 weeks. Sadly on the Monday after you leave, I'm off to France, Belgium Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Italy and then finishing it off with my absolute favourite country Germany, going to see where a mad Austrian geezer, made his ( In his eyes anyway ) inspirational speeches, then up to the Harz mountains.
    But fear not, I'll be thinking of you in South Dakota, and there won't be a bad thought about you all having the time of your life. 19.gif

    Gee, @Bikerman, I'm sorry to know that you'll be "suffering" through "France, Belgium Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Italy and then finishing it off with my absolute favourite country Germany, going to see where a mad Austrian geezer, made his ( In his eyes anyway ) inspirational speeches, then up to the Harz mountains." :joy: :)

    Have a fantastic trip. I'm looking forward to adventure stories and photos from your travels! :cool::sun::D You'll be hitting seven COUNTRIES while I'll only see five measly states in one country. ;):joy:

    BTW, that is some massive mileage you did through the US and Canada! :eek:

    Yep, the people watching at the Sturgis rally is epic! I'll do my best to snap and post some good pics.

    Our whole trip will be 12 days and 11 nights with only three of those days being full days in the Black Hills. We're estimating that it'll be around 1,500 miles just to get to the rally. Our route home will be shorter by a couple hundred miles or so, I think.

    I want to someday take my little bunny out on a tour ride! I have a 2014 Bonnie and I know that she needs to be cleaned often. Any suggestions on how I can put it up on some kind of stand and what kind of stand would fit? I purchased a center stand but apparently it does not fit my bike. Any suggestions on what I can use so I can clean the chain more easily?
