I think it’s only a name, but if peeps have a meeting in the Uk it can be a gmu too, obviously location makes a big difference to price, some people couldn’t afford Scotland, if people want to go somewhere as a group it doesn’t matter where although as the majority of members who are fairly active on the forum live in Uk then that should be the favoured place for the main meet up and other countries are additional meets. Those that want/can go further a field can go and if more go to those than the Uk then so be it, it’s where they want to go and the Uk option will always be there and will always get a good turn out. My option will be date orientated. If I’ve loads of work on on the main Uk meet but no work on on another meet I will choose that, it makes sense.

I agree with Crispy and have previously posted that the UK GMU is just that. If there are those that want to go further a field, just like Germany this year, then that is their choice. Not sure there is a debate here? The UK GMU is in my view always likely to be here in the UK....

I don't know if you guys remember but this started when I think it was Dougie or Mr Orange said if anyone wants to host a GMU then they should put forward a proposal, so that's what I did.

If peeps don't think it is suitable/don't want to come, then so be it.

Hi big lad I think the debate is about the naming of the trip. The GMU has for the past three years has (and I reckon always will be in the UK). However there are members that also enjoy European trips, so in my mind France 2019 still has legs..... just not named as a GMU.
