If you were by the side of the Loch, nowhere to land safely, so they take him to Dunoon to get taken over the water by Helicopter. If its just minor, you go by Ambulance to Dunoon, then ambulance to the ferry, then drive to Paisley. Takes a looooong time. Paisley is the trauma centre for these types of incidents in the west.

Agreed. Still it does not sound life threatening, likely bloody painful though.....

You'd be quicker just turning right and going over Glencoe to Corran! That route is definitely not the quickest !!!!:worried:

........and use the Ballachulish bridge while you’re at it. Over 20 tortuous miles shorter...

Best road tomorrow! Invergarry to Eilann Donan Castle.:heart::heart:

I'm a bit jealous at that one. One of the best roads in the world imho (if you don't get too many coaches).

Played with an Audi S5 coupe down that road one day, great fun, my guess he was a biker, gave me space when needed. God knows what speed he was doing on the straights to catch me !!! Exchanged thumbs up at the end of the road.

Rich started well by follow Lou on his way home instead of following us to the ferry
Caught it just in time.then the cleanest single track roads for 10 miles,( please take the words '''unning seanery',for granted, to save time). Well feed and watered all day,the roads are demanding and rewarding in equal measure and the crack is legend. Figwald goes home tomorrow,
The last 30 miles are some of the he best looked after and appointed road anywhere. Kept just ahead of the light rain.bikes every where, saw a BMW today.
Classic cars everywhere Porche Rolls many Bentley's jags. Little bit drunk actua

Phone call to Rich at 9.15:

Me: Where the f*ck are you?
Rich: Following Dougie down the A82.
    Me: No you’re not
    Rich: Yes I am
Me: No you’re not, Dougie’s standing here beside me
Rich: Well who am I following?
Me: Lou, he’s heading home to Glasgow
Rich: Oh shit, well where are you?
    Me: At the ferry
    Rich: Where’s that?
Me: 10 yards from the bunkhouse. Where are you?
Rich: 5 miles down the A82...
    Me: You plonker Rodney

A bit of poetic licence, but it was an all time classic.
