    Hi Steve,
Put the freer flowing mufflers back on and do the following mod to your carbs, pull the top caps off (careful you don't tear the diaphragms) lift out the slides, you will find a drilling to one side of the needles, if you drill this out slightly bigger and lift needles (I did by 30thou or so) throttle response power & fuel economy all improve ! And I could lift front wheel @ will in 1st to 3rd from 4500 - 5000 rpms off the throttle, no clutch work needed ! Overtaking in any gear improved considerably, no down change needed ...

    Now there's a thought!
Thanks for that, Mick. I shall have a look at that in the not too distant future.:)

    Hi t552,
If you use armor all protectant on the vinyl engine coating it brings it up like new ! & on the plus side minor dirt from a ride out just hoses off as the armor all acts as a barrier, just do the hose work when the engine has cooled to touchable. You'll have to avoid any type of degreasers as it will strip off the armor all and takes a couple of hours to reapply to a good as new looking standard. I did this on my 94 Trident from new and it still looked new after 6 yrs & 160,000 klms.
    Cheers Mick ( capt )

We don't get a lot of the products you guys talk about here on these forums, not much call for some of them down here in the Antipodes (Australia) . we don't winterise our bikes. No salt spraying done here !only exceptions are in the southern end on the Blue Mountains Ranges...
