    Its 1971 Olympic flame, the standard colour but original and tatty, i will be doing it in the same colour :) pix of old tank before painting.

    Which colours are you using? I didn’t bother this time with a candy over a gold undercoat as I found that today’s single coat red colours are so vibrant and similar to what two coats were years ago. The red I’ve used was a Mitsubishi current colour

    I will use a base silver off the mixing system at my mates and use HOK candy Tangerine concentrate or i might tint the lacquer to make a candy over a standard factory colour similar to what you have done, doing a load of test cards on Friday to see what is best, yes modern paints are fantastic and you don't have to use a low solid lacquer as you do with HOK candy.
