Thruxton 1200 or 1200R? Help me decide...

    I think the average opinion is that it looks a tad better, the light is a bit big too. I'm bamboozled by people that need to have bikes 'stock'. I like mine to be a bit different ,so add a couple of different bits.
    On the other hand, I never found the need to fit progressive springs etc(I wouldn't mind them a bit softer on the 12 though).

    The argument for tailtidies stemmed with the older thruxtons, i.e. Pre 2016, look at the tail on them and you think of model T fords.
    So make your choice!

    There's a Thruxton in Black at Wollaston BMW in Northampton which someone chopped in with 50 miles on the clock. They've stickered it at £9995, but def negotiable. I like the more classic looks of the base model over the R.

    Original rear mudguard is just tooooo long IMHO, it might do a good job but for me the R is about fundays in the dry. I have a boring BM for nasty weather... The R is just Soooo sexy :)
