That's a very good point mate. I recall I won a grand on the Premium Bonds about 20 years ago. I went straight out and bought a Titanium exhaust for the MV I had at the time which cost the vast majority of my windfall. Never told the wife I'd won. Lol. :joy: However just as a footnote, I've been going to another biker cafe not a million miles from the place that I was originally referring to in my OP. Speaking to several fellow bikers at the 2nd cafe, many shared my views on Cafe A and said they wouldn't go back there now. Seems like mud sticks?

O'H Mates you all know we all need a good moan every now and then. Won't change anything we will still go to the watering holes pay the price its what we do. But a good moan makes us feel good. Plus i have a liking for the McDonalds coffee.

Sadly not. Believe me I have tried. Never contacted the old hen himself. Even last week it was their 50th anniversary and even that didn't work when I suggested there should be a celebratedly price drop. OH well just to family divorce them

As Joe said, we all like a whinge now and again. But overpriced or poor quality goods or service is sure to get us going.

A favourite stop for bikers heading for a blast over the Duke's Pass is in Aberfoyle where the old hot roll van has been replaced with a permanent sit in/takeaway cafe, serving all the same coffee, rolls and more.

A cuppa and the biggest blueberry muffin for under a fiver sounds good to me..... quite often! :yum

A local place here called Cafe Racer has a great name and t-shirt and I was so looking forward to it opening after a long spin-up. Loved the pic on the shirt hanging in the window but couldn't swallow what seemed to me to be way-too-high prices for a walk-up, order at the window, take your food in a bag type of place...and what's a potato doughnut anyway? And its only motorcycle connection is the name and pic; it's not even a particular gathering places for riders. Yes, we're thrifty and yes, some might see it as tight, and yes, we spend on our bikes.

But I love their t-shirt pic!

Missed it last night, but repeated at 3:00am Weds 31st on BBC 4 "How To Build A Cathedral" (Probably findable on iPlayer and Brit box as well) which will look at how they did it. Should be fascinating:).

Sharron and I went back to Wickenby on Saturday, they were hosting a wing walking event. I'm not sure why its called wing walking cos you appear to be strapped in to something akin to a torture rack, but the people partaking seemed to have a lot of fun.
