It's not mine, I just said I have a cracking copy! it was sent to me by a first class bloke called Justin on another forum.
If you'd like a copy drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

Hmmm, got it all together, valves are good, coolant, oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter, new qd, etc etc, and it seems to running well. ☺

However. I'm now getting the engine warning light constantly on.
Voltage at the battery is 13.something when ignition off, and 14.4v when engine running, so i think the alternator and reg/rec are ok.
I'm worried that i may have missed a connector, but presumably the bike wouldn't run if i had?

Interestingly, if i flick the full beam on, the engine revs drop by 50 or so (enough to be audible). This would indicate to me that the alternator was working correctly as it is noticing the extra current draw?

The light is doing what it's supposed to.
You need to run it through 3 heat cycles, from cold to fan running and the light will extinguish.

Got the bike back together finally and ran it up and down the close.

All seems good apart from the back brake, which makes William Shatner look like Laurence Olivier! I've heard of a mod that uses a ZXR400L master cylinder - anyone here know anything about that?

    Well, we'll see - I just ordered a ZXR400L m/c from ebay.

Funny really, I had a ZXR400L5 for 12 years, one of my all time favourite bikes.
